Silversea will name its new 540-passenger ship (due next year) the “Silver Spirit.” The vessel will feature amenities such as a spa and fitness center that’s double the size of those facilities on Silversea’s other ships and a new specialty restaurant designed as a supper club (so passengers can eat and dance in the same space). Also, Silversea announced that it will overhaul its oldest ships, the “Silver Cloud” (pictured) and the “Silver Wind.” The “Silver Wind” will be upgraded in November, while the “Silver Cloud” will be refitted next May. Upgrades will include new draperies, linens, and flat-screen TVs in the cabins, new veranda furnishings, and the relocation of each ship’s spa to make space for new suites.
